The Arts of NYC for Me (2019)

A data
visualization project that focuses on and represents my story and art
experience from living in NYC for a year (2017 – 2018). In NYC, I went to
several art museums and artistic sites, and those experiences inspired me a lot
as a designer.
I took several pictures when I visited to the artistic sites. I counted the number of pictures and categorized them into 6 art types, which are painting, sculpture, performance, installation design, product design, and graphic design. There is a total of 96 experiences and 86 places are represented as data.
The overall conceptual design is inspired by the MTA New York subway identity, and data order is according to real Manhattan locations.
